Goals
- Users can use a web based graphical user interface to simplify interaction with the flecsimo subsystems.
- Users may use their own devices (like laptops) to get access with no further requirements than a appropriate web browser.
- Users may get access from locations other than the laboratory.
Background and strategic fit
flecsimo is an open source development that intends to improve collaboration between separate location. Moreover it is a strategic goal, to enable "Off-Site but Online" learning to the student of Frankfurt University of Applied Science (see Why flecsimo?)
Assumptions
- The normal access to the systems will be "On-Site", since the interaction with physical models will be much easier this way.
- Students laptops will run Windows or Apple operating systems.
- Tablets are not in focus for development.
